Bog # 4 Ethical Values

I believe the most important character trait is Caring and Fairness in close 2nd because they go hand and hand, stating that treating people fair and well is imperative not only in the work place but in life. In the work place being kind, fair, and forgiving is very important for work, and the business as a whole. It allows people of any race, background, belief, or sexual preference to work together without judgement, or discrimination.
People with these traits who are entrepreneurs, for example, have strong and diverse businesses with employees that are happy and profit gains that are significant. Some of these successful businesses that are caring and have employees that are fair are restaurants, department stores, convenience stores, and even fortune 500 companies.
If people who work within businesses do not adopt and practices these traits, workers will not have a healthy work ethic, will not interact in a good way to co workers, and will in turn hurt the business. Not only do these traits need to be common place in a working environment, they must be a big part of peoples everyday live. The more caring and treating people fair is incorporated, the happier everyone will be.

My main goal to achieve by the end of  senior year is too master basic glassblowing techniques and become proficient in pipe making. I want to achieve this goal because any reputable glassblower starts out by learning these skills and for me to enhance my abilities, I need to as well. Another reason why I want to achieve this goal is because it will prepare me for more complex glassblowing techniques and allow me to make better glass pieces. To achieve this I will need to go into Revere glass every week and take lessons from the experienced glass blowers that work there. I will also always make sure I have gas in my car because Revere glass is all the way in Berkeley.
